Until Blaise 'N' A Trail To Branson

Who We Are

Blaise ’N’ A Trail is a memorial motorcycle ride that was named for CW2 Mike Blaise, an avid rider who gave his life serving in Iraq. The ride has grown into an annual memorial ride that honors a different fallen soldier each year, with a new destination. In 2005 we rode to Sturgis, South Dakota for Bike Week, honoring CW2 Mike Blaise. In 2006 we rode to Washington D.C. for Rolling Thunder, honoring CW4 Matt Salter. In 2007 we rode to Daytona Beach, Florida for Bike Week, honoring CPT Matt Mattingly. In 2008 we rode to Milwaukee, Wisconsin for the 105th Anniversary of Harley Davidson, honoring CW3 David Stanley. In 2009 we will be riding to Branson, Missouri for the 8th Annual Branson Motorcycle Rally, and NO, you DO NOT have to have a Harley to ride with us. For more...

CW3 BRADY J. RUDOLF

CW3 Brady Rudolf, 37, of Oklahoma City was born in Durant Oklahoma to Larry and Nathalia.  He graduated from Durant High School in 1989; Southeastern Oklahoma State University; and the University of Oklahoma School of Pharmacy.

Brady was in the Oklahoma National Guard for 20 years spending 11 years as an OH-58 and then a CH-47 Chinook pilot.  He deployed in 2003 to Iraq, serving 4 months in Operation Iraqi Freedom.  Brady was a conscientious pilot who enjoyed taking care of people either in air or as a pharmacist.

He died serving in Iraq along with fellow crew members SGT Dan Eshbaugh and CPL Michael Thompson, all of Bravo Company 2-149th GSAB of Lexington, OK.  1LT Robert Vallejo II, SGT Anthony L. Mason, CWO Corry A. Edwards, and 1SG Julio C. Ordonez of the Texas National Guard were also on board and lost their lives.  Their Chinook helicopter crashed on September 18th, 2008.

When Brady was 13 he passed all the helicopters lined up at Ft. Rucker and said “That’s what I want to do someday.”  His junior year before signing up, he took the test to make sure he would qualify for flight school.  He did qualify, so on his 17th birthday he was in Oklahoma City to make it official.  Those who were close to Brady knew he put his heart into the things that he did.  It was all or nothing (with a lot of laughter mixed in).  He was a jokester, but knew when to get serious when it really mattered.

Brady was a faithful Christian, a proud father, loving husband, wonderful son, and devoted brother and soldier.  He will be greatly missed by everyone he touched.

He was preceded in death by his father, maternal and paternal grandparents. Brady leaves wonderful memories with his wife of 13 years, Jennifer; his 3 sons Braden (9), Ty (6), and Nate (2); his mother Nathalia Flowers and husband Doug ; brother, Dustin Rudolf and wife Tammy; niece Brittany; nephews Alec and Gavin; in-laws Randy and Cindy Tadlock; sister-in-law Samantha Manning and husband Bryan; and countless extended family members and friends.
